Characteristic:

①General performance: PPS is a white, high crystallinity, hard and brittle polymer. The relative density of pure PPS is 1.3, but it will increase after modification. PPS has a very small water absorption rate, generally only about 0.03%. PPS has good flame retardancy, and its oxygen index is as high as 44%. Compared with other plastics, it is a high flame retardant material in plastics (the oxygen index of pure PVC is 47%, PSF is 30%, PA66 is 29%, MPPO is 28%, PC is 25%).

②Mechanical properties: The mechanical properties of pure PPS are not high, especially the impact strength is relatively low. Reinforced with glass fiber will greatly increase the impact strength, from 27J/m to 76J/m, an increase of 3 times; the tensile strength increases from 6MPa to 137MPa, an increase of 1 time. PPS has high rigidity and is rare in engineering plastics. The flexural modulus of pure PPS can reach 3.8Gpa, and it can reach 12.6Gpa after inorganic filling modification, which is a 5 times increase. PPO, which is known for its rigidity, is only 2.55Gpa, and PC is only 2.1Gpa.

PPS has good creep resistance and high hardness under load; its abrasion resistance at 1000 revolutions is only 0.04g, and it will be further improved after it is filled with F4 and molybdenum disulfide; PPS also has a certain degree of freedom Moisturizing. The mechanical properties of PPS are less sensitive to temperature

③Thermal properties: PPS has excellent thermal properties, short-term resistance to 260℃, and long-term use at 200~240℃. Its heat resistance is equivalent to PI, second only to F4 plastic, which is not much in thermosetting plastics see.

④Electrical properties: The electrical properties of PPS are very prominent. Compared with other engineering plastics, its dielectric constant and dielectric loss tangent are relatively low, and they do not change much within a larger frequency and thermometer temperature range; PPS Good arc resistance, comparable to thermosetting plastics. PPS is often used in electrical insulation materials, and its amount can account for about 30%.

⑤Environmental performance: One of the biggest characteristics of PPS is its good chemical resistance, and its chemical stability is second only to F4; PPS is resistant to most acids, esters, ketones, aldehydes, phenols, aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, etc. Stable, not resistant to chlorinated biphenyls and oxidizing acids, oxidants, concentrated sulfuric acid, concentrated nitric acid, aqua regia, hydrogen peroxide and sodium hypochlorite, etc. PPS has good radiation resistance.

Application range:

①Automotive industry: PPS is used in the automotive industry for about 45%, mainly used in automotive functional parts, igniters, heaters, thermostats, lamp holders, bearings; if it can replace metal to make exhaust cylinder circulation valves and water pump impellers, Pneumatic signal conditioner, etc.

②Electronics and electrical appliances: PPS is used in the electronic and electrical industry to account for 30%. It is suitable for high-temperature electrical components with an ambient temperature higher than 200°C; it can be used to manufacture hot spots, electric heating brackets, starter coils, and shields on generators and engines. Covers and blades, etc.; on televisions, it can be used for high-voltage housings and sockets, terminals and terminal boards, etc.; in the electronics industry, manufacturing transformers, choke coils and relays, the skeleton and shell, and integrated circuit carriers; using high-frequency performance , Manufacturing H-class bobbin and trimmer capacitors, etc.

③Mechanical industry: used for casings, structural parts, wear-resistant parts and sealing materials, including pump bodies, valves, bearings, bearing brackets, piston rings and gears.
