One of the common manufacturing processes today is precision sheet metal processing. Precision metal plate manufacturing describes any of various processes for forming metal plates into finished products.
Almost all industries rely on some form of precision sheet metal processing, aerospace, military, automotive, pharmaceutical, medical, electronics, food service, telecommunications, computer, storage, and construction industries. Service manufacturing process. Some common products in precision sheet metal manufacturing include storage tanks, ventilation systems, hoods, cabinets and other storage cabinets.
The number of different manufacturing processes used in the manufacture of precision metal plates is innumerable. Some common techniques for forming metal sheets into products include compression molding, roll forming, annealing, bending, and machining. Once the metal plate has formed its desired shape, the excess material is cut away. The cutting process may include sawing, drilling, shearing, stamping, and then the product is completed. Finishing processes include sanding, deburring or painting products.

Metal forming is a general term that can include a wide range of manufacturing processes, but in precision sheet metal processing mainly includes bending the metal plate into the desired geometry. The science behind the plasticity of metal formed products is complex. Factors such as strain hardening, temperature control, flow stress, and ductility are all considered during metal bending and folding.
These devices provide excellent reliability and predictable installation time, enabling short batch runs. In today’s high-performance environment, sheet metal folding machines can only be as good as the high-tech software that drives them.

Continuous improvement and high investment plans mean that our metal bending and folding capabilities, powered by new technologies, enable us to meet demanding metal manufacturing contracts, regardless of size, simplicity or complexity.

Bending is a metal forming process in which force is applied to a metal plate to bend it at an angle and form the desired shape. The bending operation of profiled sheet metal machining results in deformation along one axis, but a sequence of several different operations can be performed to create complex parts. The curved part can be very small, such as a stand, or up to 20 feet long, such as a large housing or chassis. Bending can be characterized by several different parameters

Bending Line-A straight line on the surface of the plate on both sides of the bend, used to define the end of the horizontal flange and the starting point of the bend.
Outer mould line-Whether the straight line where the outer surfaces of the two flanges intersect continues. This line defines the mold edge of the bent metal plate.
Flange Length-The length of either flange, extending from the edge of the paper to the bending line.
Mold line distance-the distance from either end of the sheet to the outer mold line.

Frustration-The distance from the bending line to the outer mold line is also equal to the difference between the mold line distance and the flange length.
Bending axis-A straight line that defines the bending center of the metal plate.
